Good Dick

MY movie review: I knew when I saw its trailer I'm gonna love this film. And true to my taste, I did. Really really liked it. Type of movie you'd sit on a lazy day and forgot how bored you were. Well, if you are like me everyday is a lazy day. Hehe.

It shows the relationship of an overly weird girl and a guy who works at a video store who's pining for her. Unfolding their weird interactions and reactions to each other in this funny and touching movie.

Marianna Palka is sensational, what comes to mind to describe a film like this is to imagine clerks blended with garden state with a little piano on the side interwoven with a deeply serious subject matter that is tackled with intelligence, sensitivity and wisdom. In my opinion, it's rare for someone to be able to obviously put so much of themselves into a film they have written, directed and starred in to have enough perspective to be clear in what they are expressing without it losing sight of itself. Jason Ritter deserves a mention too and did very well in the movie.
