This is not really a movie review because I haven't seen it and I'm dying to watch it.
Since I haven't and can't see this yet, I settled on just reading the screenplay. Of all the screenplays I read, the first fw pages caught my eye and my curiosity. There's the standard disclaimer: "NOTE: THE FOLLOWING IS A WORK OF FICTION. ANY RESEMBLANCE TO PERSONS LIVING OR DEAD IS PURELY COINCIDENTAL." Followed by.. "ESPECIALLY YOU JENNY BECKMAN." Next page.. "BITCH." Naturally, I laughed out loud and got me thinking, "who the hell is this Jenny Beckman?"
So who really is this Jenny Beckman? For the sake of this movie review or rather "not a movie review" I will tell all of you.
Well, one of the writers said that he wrote the screenplay based on his relationship with this girl. The writer even shared the the screenplay to "Jenny" to read. She then responded to him that she liked it coz she can relate to Tom's character. This bit made me laughed so hard. She actually didn't see the character of Summer was in any way based on her. So "Jenny Beckman" is an actual/living person this movie is based on but I doubt that's her real name.
