My Christmas Wish This Year: a Nokia C7

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
I want the Nokia C7
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Technology has brought us so many changes from getting to point A to point B minus the traffic hence the GPS was born to being constantly online with a simple flick of a hand, mobile phones. What do we do without them?

The year has past and these gadgets swerve in a breeze. Lately, I've been checking out what would be the perfect gift I could give myself for Christmas. Yes, I must confess that I have been rather nice this year. I was able to donate blood for an aunt's friend. I also got the chance to be in the NGO scene for awhile which ignited my Christmas Charity Project titled 'Yule Give' we are hoping to gather enough clothes and other pre-used items for an orphanage here in Cebu. What better way to spend Christmas than by giving?

I just realized lately, I have had my old 3230 phone for almost 6 years already. This got me through college. All the sleepless nights being on call for our Nursing duty, calling our group mates for last minute changes and even surfing the net in case of real emergency. Six long years, the casing has faded and was changed to the generic plastic ones, the scroll rarely functions and the rubber volume button is looong gone. It must have peeled off or something. Yes, it was old.

Being a bit of a techie person, I can say that the Nokia C7 is a wonderful sleek machine. I have had a hold of this baby in the malls. Wondered if I would ever get one for myself. What is striking about this mobile phone is the AMOLED touchscreen, it is the first time Nokia used this new technology wherein the competition has been using it for a while now.

It has a preloaded 8GB storage and runs on 256 MB RAM and packs a 1 GB ROM. All the best for the person who brings all her files with her anywhere she goes. I love the fact the the sleekness adds a bit of sophistication to the whole package. The memory that it includes would mean that I can capture and store precious Kodak moments in a breeze with the 8MP camera not to mention the dual-LED flash for night scenes. What I love about this phone is the Geo-tagging ability. I can just check in to a nearby Hotel and click myself on the map and people nearby know where I am. The wonders of technology. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter , Foursquare and even Flickr enables me to be in touch with the people that matter to me. I could still get to edit some of my notes and blog using the Quick office document viewer (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF). All these in one small sleek phone.

A mobile phone is not a mobile phone not unless you use it for its main function - calling. This phone can keep detailed call records for a whole month at maximum, I will never miss an important call ever again. I can also use the Photo call to my advantage, since I am far away from home I can call my parents and let them see where I am. Photo call is the next best thing to calling. I miss my parents and I know they have been dying to see me grow.

Santa, I have been really nice. I promise. Please grant my Christmas wish.

About Febbe

I was born in Toledo City but moved to Lapu-Lapu City at a very young age. Grew up, attended school and now, still lives there. She loves movies and saw a little too many. She also watches a lot of crappy tv shows. For some reason, she thinks its relevant to mention that. She played damath and chess on her primary school years. She won games and was sent to other schools to compete. This has turned out to be completely and utterly useless. Now, she's writing about herself in the 3rd person. What's up with that?! LoL! Peace out!
